While at GTB, I had the opportunity to come up with ideas for TV spots advertising a couple different promotions being put on by Ford Racing.

With their promotion parameters already set, both were relatively complex in their functionality. Therefore, the TV spots needed to be straightforward and simple to understand in order to pique interest.

Also, both cars were all-new at the time these promotions ran (one reason why these promotions even existed), so the ads had to be about the cars as much as they were about the promotions.

The Work

Win My Fusion tasked fans with picking a driver, and if they win the NASCAR championship, a fan could “take” their new Fusion away from them. We decided let Hall & Oates could do the talking better than us.

This was also the first time the all-new Fusion would be featured on TV, so we had to include some beauty shots.

The Ford 40 MPG Sweepstakes would giveaway 40 Focuses ONLY IF Ford won 3 (!!) major racing championships. Talk about long odds.
